Desktop won't show Networked Shared Folders

Hi, I don't know when it exactly happened but yesterday, when I decided to set up Kodi SMB shares to my Rasberry to my desktop folders had stop showing(some old ones on my external drive weren't working in the first place but even new folders don't work) disabled firewall, vpn, defender and just about anything that would block connection . The weird thing is my Laptop does share my computer between desktop but not another way around.

Any help much appreciated Sorry being vague I just don't know where to start thx in advance.

nvm apparently there were two problems that had nothing to with each other 1. being network was discoverable by just typing "\\Server Name" and 2. SMB1 being disabled(need for Kodi but probably gonna disable again and update to new version that uses SMB2)

    Thx..me lol

    Hi there

If you install spring update (1803) :

after 1803 update SMB1 is disabled by default - re-enable again. The option where it automatically disables SMB1 has GONE so you shouldn't get this type of problem once you've installed the Spring 1803 update.

Eventually though if on your non windows devices you can get SMB3 to work then that's the best solution.

    Cheers
