    Hey TV2,
I don't think this should/would effect anything, so it's a long shot. Are the Static/Assigned IP's you set inside the DHCP Range that's set.

Note: My Router is 192.168.1.1 ... so I use 192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.100 for Static IP's and the DHCP Server Range is set to 192.168.101 - 192.168.1.254

Just a thought, double check you have the MAC for the Lan port and not some other adapter which may be disabled.

Yes, inside the range. More confusingly, the problem address is 192.168.1.105, and my main desktop is 192.168.1.106, and that IP sticks consistently, as do all the higher addresses. Only that one device.

I'll check that next chance. Right now the mac is for the PC, as shown when you go to system properties.
The kicker here is that this is a recent problem. This PC has been holding it's assigned address for years.

    So embarrassing.
I had typed the MAC wrong. Transfixed 2 digits.
Problem "solved". (Except that I am still here)

Lol, been there done it, except I'd got the wrong adaptor, that's why I mentioned it.

I know, thanks! I wouldn't have checked the MAC more carefully if you hadn't mentioned it.
