Windows 10 & 8 Network Issue
Hello;
My name is John and I'm glad I found this forum and wish everyone well.
My issue is my new HP PC running Windows 10. It is a desktop PC. I also have a 3 year old Lenovo PC running Windows 8 which I use strictly for music production in my small MIDI studio. My new Win 10 machine replaces an old XP desktop that went bad on me. I took notice the other day when I booted up my music computer it displayed the same desktop display picture that the new Win 10 machine had. Also, the recycle bin on the music PC had files that I deleted months ago from the old Windows XP machine. I have several computers on the same home WIFI network but never seen this happen before. I have a Windows 7 laptop on the same network and this never happened. I don't want any of my PCs to interact with each other this way. Even though they are on the same WIFI network I want them to run as separate entities. Can you please advise me? I've found some success by disabling the WIFI connection on the music PC, but this is somewhat inconvenient and changes happen when I have to re enable the WIFI.
Also, please don't advise me to update my Windows 8 Music PC. I don't want to do that as it could mess up my music production software.
Thanks;
John B.:)
