Could not reconnect all network drives with FCU

    Well, its back.

I had really good luck with auto connecting of shares at windows runtime, but now, I get the dreaded "Could not reconnect all network drives" at startup

Brand new build, its stupid fast on startup (NVME SSD), and I'm trying to figure out if its indeed a timing issue. But its the old problem with the red X through the share, then when you click on it, it eventually loads.

Tried just about everything, and no idea how to proceed. Its also Windows 10 Home, so no Group Policy Editor to play with net reconnects, although I'll install it now and see.

    Anyone else seeing this?

How do you connect to network drives ie cmd prompt or explorer and have you used IP or names?

It was said, probably on this forum, that Win10 latest 1 or 2 updates turns off SMB1.0, check Control Panel, Programs and Features, Turn Windows features on or off.

Map them by ip see if that solves it as it can take netbios time to get a list of names on start as its that which is used if you go by name

Thank you thank you, this has been driving me crazy for a couple of weeks. My Workgroup P2P is working again.

Update 2019-908-15, Since this post I have all 5 of my units networked with out SMB 1, Occasionally I do have to restart Services, Function Discovery Provider Host; Function Discovery Resource Publication on one or the other computer. I don't remember how or when I finally solved the issue I was having back in 2018 Jan but I have not used SMB 1 for quite a long time now. I Believe understanding Function Discovery Provider HostFunction Discovery Resource Publication was the correct answer to my issues. they need to be set to start automatically, and if you leave your computers running for long periods of time occasionally they will need to be restarted if you have a unit drop off your network.

Just thought I would mention this since this thread has been revived

CAUTION: That does fix it BUT with an old insecure technology that we should not use anymore according to https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/...B1/ba-p/425858.

Don't think much has changed in the last nearly 8 months. Although a clean install of Windows 10 Version 1903 Build 18950 updated to Build 18956 with default settings easily allowed mapping NAS drives.
