    ping -6 cannot find www.google.com

Obviously google.com has an IPv6 address. BUT when I try to ping it in a dos window I get back "host cannot be found". IPCONFIG/ALL shows IPv6 connectivity on my computer (Windows 10 Pro). I can ping my router's IPv6 address, but why not google's?

I tried it using your command and the first item timed out but the other 3 worked. Seems a bit slow responding. It may help in some cases to NOT use http or www, just google.com or other site that normally can be pinged with just the name and extension.

So, for some reason it's my computer. Ahh...I use a VPN and it was not started due to an update. As to why that should block pinging using -6 I don't know. But I restarted the service and now I can ping using -6. Thanks.

ipv6 isnt really used yet and as such it has to be tunneled via ipv4 often isps or routers may not pass ipv6 traffic

IPv6 is use by ~40% of the US (as measured by Google and Akamai). So it's definitely in use at least in the US.

Further to Samuria, how many WIndows Servers use IPv6? Or do nearly all of them tunnel?
