Conflict between Outlook 2013 and Office 2016

It seems that search feature in Outlook 2013 32 bit ceases after installing Office 2016.
Would appreciate any tip on a possible workaround to this.

The 2 will not co-exist. Why would you have both installed anyway?

    Had i known!
Have had Outlook 2013 and Office 2013 setup separately and working just fine.
Wanted to update Office 2013 to 2016 so i did.
But now, Outlook 2013's search feature is totally inoperative.

Not familiar with sfc /scannow Hearsepilot.
Do i run that after installing Office 2016?
The later usually removes 2013 (with impact on Outlook 2013) prior to installing itself.
So, maybe it's better for me to simply remove Office 2013 first then install Office 2016.

Sorry, you enter that into a command line running as administrator.

A clean install of 2016 will benefit from the above command because it seldom installs without problem

@Hearsepilot - have removed Office 2013, installed 2016 and then ran sfc /scannow - it found errors and corrected them.:)
So far, Outlook 2013 search feature is still working as usual.
    Thanks for the tip!
