    No I didn't see any but it did tell me it wasn't connected, it was not online, I just clicked to refresh the page. I also just about 20 min ago went into Outlook and there were maybe 20 emails there but on the left side of the page the inbox had a # of 188, I saw the word more and I got 188 emails that have been sitting there for over a month. So now I guess I'll be back to getting duplicates. I just won't look at it anymore, let it fill up I'm sick of it all.

    If I do a restore will all the updates I've received since Last July be gone, or are they all now combined? I just want to rid myself of this problem and I can't find an answer.

    I am so very sorry. This post leaves me wondering what your problem is and what you are trying to say. I will have to leave your problem to somebody else because I have no clue what your problem is or what you are trying to do.

    My problem is.....I am getting the exact same emails in 2 different accounts, WLM, which I prefer and Outlook which I do not want But I will keep it since Microsoft tells me I will no longer get updates unless I have a Microsoft account, I just want the duplicates to stop.

    Laserbeam125, as you were told previously, Microsoft Office Outlook (aka Outlook) and Windows Live Mail (WLM) are merely applications that up- & download messages from your email mailboxes on any ISP -- including Microsoft's service formerly known as Hotmail, but is now called Outlook.com. (I share your aggravation at how MS has confused everyone by reusing the Outlook name.)

    Because you use both applications to access the same mailbox on the same ISP, the same messages will always be downloaded to both applications, unless you delete them from the mailbox in the 1st application before the 2nd application is run. Yes, there's a strong likelihood that a lot of unwanted duplicate messages will download when you run the 2nd application, because you may not have "emptied your trash" before you exited the 1st application. (Also, Google the differences between IMAP and POP3.)

    Like Rocky, I'm unclear whether your mail mailboxes are, in fact, on Hotmail.com, Outlook.com, or another ISP like Gmail or Yahoo. Please confirm this, since it affects how you configure your email application(s) for your mail account.

    BTW, since WLM has been abandoned by MS almost a year ago, there definitely won't be any upgrades to it (or any other component of Windows Live Services).

    As you have been told many times, there is no problem. You are confusing an app with an account. There is no relationship. You need to choose an app that you like and stick to it. You can use any app to access any account, you do not need to use so many apps.

    Comcast is your ISP, not your email provider. Hotmail is an email provider, Comcast is just your ISP.

    For the sake of clarity I will answer your question directly;

    No, a reset will not change anything. There is nothing wrong with your system, everything is working exactly the way it is suppose to work.

    My advice to you is to choose one application and just use that one application, you do not need to use two separate applications.

    I only use WLM but the emails are duplicated in Hotmail aka Outlook which I cannot delete, therefore I'm stuck with this problem.
    So thank you all for the help you tried to give it's all Microsoft, that's who I blame for not allowing you to delete an email acct you do not want.

    Again Thanks to all who replied
