    MS Office 2007 loosing support

I have MSWord 2007 and been using it for quite some time. I also have a legal
copy of Office 2016 which I bought a few months ago. I don’t like 2016 as it is so much different with all its bells and whistles so I’m back to 2007. But sometime this year MS will discontinue support on it. I am not concerned about updates on it since I use it just use if for writing personal documents—nothing fancy. I don’t do anything fancy like documents and such. If I continued using it without the support would that be a problem? Thanks, Frank

They are only discontinuing support for the product, doesn't mean you can't still use it as it was made before activation came in. There will come a time though when vulnerabilities will creep in posing a risk to your computer.

I personally like 2016 and have just bought the Pro Plus version and I'm very pleased with it. It's quick to load and easy to navigate.

Well after reading your response, I think I’ll put 2016 back on and make up my mind to get used to it. Quite possible that I just gave up to quick because it is different. Thanks for your input.

Me too. I had 2013 at one job. Hated it. I have 2016 now. It's not as bad as 2013. But I still use 2007 and home. I like it a lot. I don't really care about support for it. I've never needed any support.
