I got the updates and it shows V1705 Build 8201.2102 (the correct latest build) and now both the Turn on automatic renewal and Office Updates are yellow...

I have just clicked on the auto renewal, gone to the account page and closed Outlook message gone again... will be back I expect....

Only the auto renewal was yellow on mine...

Just closed and opened it again (4th time) after clicking on the activate auto renewal, logging into my account once then back out again and it has not come back... SO FAR I expect it will do... lol

    Its back!!

The yellow highlight on the updates is gone since I rebooted the PC. But the auto renewal is still yellow.

Annoying or what.... I have found if you click on it it changes to auto renewal .... two words and opens your account... If you then click on it again and open your account for a 2nd time it goes away... but still comes back at some stage.. lol..

Will see what happens on Friday which is my renewal date..

Is there any difference between Windows 10 and Windows 10 S in this question? I've come across some articles about them but the information is not complete. Office 365 works on both OS?

Mary, please start a new thread, do not hijack this thread. Your question is about Office 365 but is a different subject than this thread. Thanks.

Well my renewal date is today (16th), just turned the offending notebook on for the first time today, went straight to the Office account tab... message gone!

So we will see if it reappears soon or when close to next months... unless Microsoft have now set it to display until the next payment verifies the status? Will see what happens... lol

I guess I'll have the notice until November when I'm due for "automatic renewal".
