Popup from Microsoft Office 2016 (officebackgroundtaskhandler.exe)

I recently noticed this officebackgroundtaskhandler.exe popup. Could you help me with this, please? How can I make it disappear? I found it in Task Scheduler also. I’m from Ukraine, so could you explain me what I must do, using easy words, please?) I’m looking forward for your answer.) Sorry for mistakes also. : D

Hi oleg2001. Welcome to the TenForums @oleg2001

I did a quick search and lots of hits. This one I copied. Appears to be a known issue that MS is working on according to web page.

If you want to stop you should be able to disable in Task Scheduler. Right click on task and then click on disable.

Before you disable force Office to check for updates. Click on File, then depending on which Office product you have open, either Office Account or Account. Middle of page is Updates. Once updated see if problem still occurs.

Not sure what the task actually does so you will want to enable task every so often until a fix is received to allow it to do its job.
