Win 10 and Access 2010 Don't Seem to be Compatible

I'm running Windows 10 Home and Access 2010.on my laptop. Access just doesn't behave properly. The Table and Query names aren't spaced properly on the left side of the screen. The Check Boxes graphics aren't displayed properly, etc. If I upgraded to Office 2016, would that help?

Probably not. 2010 is officially stated to be compatible...
The following versions of Office have been fully tested and are supported on Windows 10...
    • Office 2016 (Version 16)
    • Office 2013 (Version 15)
    • Office 2010 (Version 14)
Which versions of Office work with Windows 10? - Office Support

Problems where elements on the screen don't display properly are more often down to display driver problems and/or setting a non-default display scaling. Check your driver is up to date and your display setting are all set to the defaults.

I have Intel HD Graphics 520 on my laptop. 3200x1800 resolution. Drivers reported as up-to-date. I have not changed any graphics settings. I'm stumped.

If I run the compatibility troubleshooter on the Access executable, I get: "This program has a compatibility issue and may not work right. The vendor has a paid upgrade That's compatible with this version of Windows." If I click on that, I'm directed to "Get WORD 2016 (Office 365). Very confusing.

This is what I'm talking about. Top is Win 7 on my desktop. Bottom is Win 10 on my laptop.
