Outlook 2013 constantly asking for password for Outlook.com accounts

    Hi

After working perfectly for many years (since 2015/2016) Outlook 2013 constantly asks me for my outlook.com password repeatedly. Gmail and GMX work fine.

    I have tried the following:

reset outlook.com password on both my email accounts
    repair Office 2013
remove outlook.com accounts and re-add them
    MS downloadable Office/Outlook diagnostic tool

Since removing my outlook.com accounts (in despair) I am no longer able to add my outlook accounts to my mail profile. I enter my name, username and password and as soon as I press next it just asks for my password again and again.

There is 0% chance that I am entering a wrong password, because I have reset them and I store them in Keepass. I can log into my outlook accounts via the web interface without problem.

My password is 20 characters long, with numbers, symbols, upper and lower case letters.

I am not using two-factor authentication, so that's not the problem.

Other than reinstalling Office 2013, which I doubt would solve this issue, I can't think of anything else to try.

According to Microsoft "This issue can occur if the Logon network security setting on the Security tab of the Microsoft Exchange dialog box is set to a value other than Anonymous Authentication."
There is a fix for that, but it requires the email account to be configured in order to apply the fix.

With regard to Windows, it is running 22H2. OS Build 19045.4170. Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19054.1000.0

    Please help!

Have you tried logging in to your accounts through your browser and doing what MS say in the emails they will probably have been sending you every time they have rejected your password in the email client?
They have probably been telling you to go to

I haven't received any emails from MS about this.
I did follow your above link and my recent activity shows the web login and android access.

When I tried to configure my accounts earlier this afternoon I did receive a Test Mail from my Outlook account, but the Outlook client refused point blank to add the account. No errors are shown.

I think the results indicate that it is an email client problem rather than an MSAccount problem. So that's progress of a sort.

I suggest you search the forum for advice about email profile [the Mail (32-bit) entry you'll find in the Control panel].
I haven't had problems and just noted these links from discussions I saw in the forum.
    Adding-Recreating a Mail Profile - HowTo-Outlook
Performance problems when you try to access folders in a secondary mailbox in Outlook - MSSupport

    Best of luck,

    Welcome to TenForums.

It's really worth making time to browse through the Tutorial index - there's a shortcut to it at the top of every page.
    - At the foot of the Tutorial index is a shortcut to download it as a spreadsheet.
    - I download a new copy each month.
    - By downloading it as a spreadsheet I can benefit from Excel's excellent filtering capabilities when I search for topics of interest.
    - Tutorials are also listed by category at Tutorials - there's also a shortcut to that at the top of every page.
    - Both tutorial lists are searchable.
    - You can also search for TenForumsTutorials in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:tenforums.com/tutorials after your search term. For example,
    taskbar toolbars site:tenforums.com/tutorials

You can search TenForums using the search box in the top-right corner of all TenForums webpages or using Advanced Search - TenForums
    - You can also search TenForums threads in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:tenforums.com after your search term. For example,
Search for drivers by HardwareID site:tenforums.com
    - [This is what the search box in the top-right corner of TenForums webpages does automatically]

It would seem so indeed. Why so sudden though I wonder.
