    new to excel/spreadsheet

Hi. I have three columns, i.e. column A, column B, column C, together with many rows.
For each row, I'd like to automate the process in such a way that the value in column C is the product of value in column A and B.

The simple way would be for each cell in C to have a formula that adds A and B in the same row.

Could it be something like a check register is being asked about? If so there are templates on the Internet.

    multiplies rather than add.

TBH - this is so basic, OP should buy a beginners book e.g. Excel for Dummies.
