    Dennis,

This is so great! I got them all downloaded. THANKS!!

I looked at the OUTLOOK guide and the first thing I noticed was the Quick Access Toolbar. I don't have that on any of the outlooks that I have opened.

I don't want to get this whole thing going again but I thought that was strange. I'm doing some research on it.

    Mike,

The QAT is something that you set up but I thought it had at least a couple of items there by default. My Outlook 2021 has the same QAT icons by default as that guide.
That Excel Help file on the QAT probably applies to Outlook as well.

But, of course, you haven't yet made it past the email account creation step so you haven't had a chance to see MSOffice Outlook 2016's user interface yet.
How is the email account password reset going?
You would always set up an MSAccount to let you get into MSOffice Outlook 2016 even if you never intend to use that MSAccount in the future.

    Hi Dennis,

I've tried a few password guesses but no luck yet. All my passwords were in my outlook contacts...... I have att.net as email which is a free account I got many years ago when I had att as my internet service. I've changed my provider since then. I plan on trying to contact att but haven't yet.

I'm still trying to open the .pst files but not able to get to the import/export option in any of the outlooks I have opened. I don't have the Ribbon Display Options icon on any of the outlooks either.

Thanks for checking in with me. I feel bad that I've taken so much of your time. I'm doing a lot of research on the web.

I will for sure let you know how it's going.

    Mike,

The subject of importing an Outlook pst file into another application has definitely been discussed in the forum.
I cannot remember if there was a solution but I think it would be worth your searching this forum section [I'll check my notes as well].

Do you have any friends with MSOffice Outlook? You can open your pst file within their Outlook without disrupting them and then copy those passwords into, say, an Excel file.
[And then you can close that pst file afterwards so that their Outlook now longer attempts to open it.]
I can advise about this but here's an MS article about it as well - Open and close Outlook Data Files (.pst) - Microsoft Support

Et voilà, c'est avec grand plaisir que je vous présente - Coolutils Outlook Viewer
7 Easy Ways To Open PST File Without Outlook - CoolUtils
I had not heard of this tool before but I think it is what you need.

I'm just testing it with copies of*** my Outlook 2007 & Outlook 2021 pst files. I'll post back shortly.
*** If it goes wrong, I do not want my pst files themselves to be affected.

Success - I can see contacts in both pst files.
    - I cannot see how to copy them ^^^[except by retyping] but I didn't bother looking at its tutorial
    - I think the ability to copy might be limited to its paid-for version, but that's just a guess.
    - During installation, I cleared the option to set pst file association [I do not want anything interfering with normal MSOffice Outlook operations] and
    - It still opened several pst files without any prompting from me
    and then
    - I was still able to open the particular pst file [copies] of interest by clicking on its Add pst/ost icon in the top left corner.

^^^ I managed to save the contacts to an Excel spreadsheet while I had the Contacts folder selected by using its Process menu, Report
So I'd call this a complete success just waiting for you to do it.

    Thanks again Dennis.....

I will be working on this this evening and I hope to get a chance to call the ISP folks today or tomorrow.

I think getting through the email account creation step is critical which requires the password reset.............

    Mike,

    I'm confused now.
That Coolutils Outlook Viewer will allow you to read your Outlook Contacts and therefore to retrieve the passwords you saved in them.
So you will not need to ask for a password reset after all.

I'll stay online a bit longer in case you need to check anything about that Coolutils thing.

    Hi Dennis,

I don't know what I was thinking. I downloaded the utility and was able to open the .pst file with my contact info in it.

Tomorrow, when I'm fresh and thinking straight, I'll review your post and see if I can get them out.
