OneDrive - Windows 10 - Backing Up Only One Folder

I have a folder on my PC, call it Folder A, that I wish to store in the cloud on OneDrive as protection in case of a hard drive failure. There is no need, for now, to have it continuously synced with the same folder on my PC. Can I simply copy and paste Folder A into my OneDrive personal folder? Do I need to do anything (toggle, check) in Settings?

This is what confuses me. One section on my PC where I can select (or de-select) folders is called "Back up folders." There is another section on my PC where I can do similar. Each section shows a different collection of folders. Pics attached. What is the purpose and difference between these sections? Thanks!OneDrive - Windows 10 - Backing Up Only One Folder-backup-folders-pc.jpgOneDrive - Windows 10 - Backing Up Only One Folder-choose-folders.jpg

Hi, there's an extensive set of tutorials for OneDrive in the Tutorials section.

I have a folder on my PC, call it Folder A, that I wish to store in the cloud on OneDrive as protection in case of a hard drive failure.
Noting OneDrive by default only syncs folders in a minimal set, and you haven't specified the path to this Folder A, then should it not exist within that set, you might find this of interest which allows you to add any folder to be synched:

Sync Any Folder to OneDrive in Windows 10

I won't comment further as I uninstalled OneDrive long ago.

in case of a hard drive failure.
Note too the routine use of 3rd party disk imaging is strongly recommended to protect your whole O/S and any partitions you image.
