The reason I'm harping on about the Device manager diagram I suggested in post #23 is that the driver date in one of your reports to zebal indicates you might have two display adapters, the AMD one and one that is integrated in your motherboard, like mine have and that the integrated one is still set as the MS basic display adapter.
e.g. [this very old screenshot was the only one I could find]

The second entry, the one in the Other devices section, was my AMD/Nvidia display adapter which I had not, at that stage, installed the driver for.
The Other devices section is a euphemism for no driver installed.

So you've got a single display adapter and it uses its proper AMD driver. I was reacting to the posts about the display driver being dated June 2006, which indicates the MS Basic display driver, but that's clearly no longer relevant.
