Clicking on email notification pop-up, it does not arrive in Outlook

Weird... I got this email pop-up (right hand bottom corner)
It involved a notification of a reply on a forum question.

Normally I click on the link in the mail after it arrived in Outlook, but this time I clicked on the notification, not knowing that, whilst doing so, there is no way to get the mail in Outlook anymore.

At least I would expect a 'read' version of the mail, but there is simply nothing...

If it was a Mention or Quote rather than reply, the default is to get a desktop notification but not email.

It was a notification that a reply has been posted. Usually I don't pay attention to this notification, as it arrives in Outlook anyhow, with the comments, etc.
I attend to it later.

This time I clicked on the notification though, no email anymore then.

In Start > Universal applications there is a 'Mail" item, but I don't want to open that, not sure what is going to happen with Outlook settings, whatever.
