Windows 11 and Office Applications - Time to Switch to Open Source?

At my age, (I'm older than Joe Biden) I don't have hours to master a slicker version of Word and/or Excel.

I am about to abandon Microsoft Office for Libre Office.

My perspective is that volunteer developers are less likely to inclined to invest hours programming a new GUI and more inclined to fix bugs that don't work properly. Does this view make sense?

If I'm obliged to learn new concepts instead of using tools should I learn Libre Office?

    thanks

If you already have an office licence, why change it?

Unless you are using Office 365, the licence for Office is perpetual. The GUI would only change if you upgraded, and then it does not really change that much. It would probably take you longer to learn LibreOffice.

Regarding bugfixes, I seriously doubt they will get fixed quicker than on Office but Office is generally very robust anyway.

I think cereberus has a point.
Why bother changing from whatever you have now?

What version of MSOffice do you currently use?
