Office 2013 max number of devices

Quite interestingly, you seem to have a pre-change version of the Office 2013 EULA that MS said would get amended in a routine update. It has the strict non-transferability clause in it.

The effective dates are those I noted at the time but I did not record where I got them from. I think one of them was from a discussion in the MSAnswers forum.

I never did "upgrade" to either 2010 or 2013. I'm still using Office 2007 and intend to keep doing so for many years to come. No modern equivalents give me the same ease of us [or the programming capabilities of VBA that I have made extensive use of]. I used Office 2016 for a year and did not like its changes one bit.

Sad that every time Microsoft upgrades or "improves" something it gets worse instead of better. (Yeah I know, the user just does not understand what is good for them).
Microsoft store has Home and Student for $29.95 so we just bought another key.

This is what I have found about the copies of Office I have.

Office 97 Professional
Can install on primary computer and 2nd copy on portable computer.

Office 2003 Student and Teacher Edition
Can be installed on up to three computers.

Office 2003 Professional
Can install on one computer.

Office 2007 Standard
Can install on primary computer and 2nd copy on portable computer.

Office 2007 Professional
Can install on primary computer and 2nd copy on portable computer.

Office 2010 Professional
Can install on primary computer and 2nd copy on portable computer.

Office 2013 Professional (volume license)
Can install on one or more computers depending upon number of activations purchased.

Office 2019 Professional Plus
Can install on one computer.

One major distinction I have found is whether the copy of Office is retail or OEM. Retail copies can be transferred to another computer once every 90 days. This assumes that the previous installation was removed. OEM copies are tied to the original computer it was installed on. The only exception is if the original computer failed and another computer replaced it.

The Office alternatives do not include Outlook. Outlook is much more useful than a bunch of cobbled-together alternatives, at least for me.

I find it strange that most people mention LibreOffice when there are other free office programs. My main computers use Microsoft Office. However, I have a couple computers that have FreeOffice 2021 installed on them. I like FreeOffice better than LibreOffice. FreeOffice only has equivalents to Word, Excel and PowerPoint but that is all I need for those computers.
