I am a throw-back: I rather like Outlook 2010, and I hate spending money. I have successfully been using O-2010 with a Gmail account (using an App password once Google turned on 2FA), but also with an Outlook.com email address which I mainly use for its calendar-sharing capability: it stores the calendar in some cloud location which I access (without really knowing what I am doing) via MS Exchange - I just enter the account details into O-2010 and it does the rest. The brilliant upside to this is that both my and my wife's iPhones can connect to the O.com email, and not only can I see, enter and edit events on the phone (with them replicating onto my PC in O-2010), but she can do the same (she is ony supposed to view, I don't know how to lock her out of editing).

But at this stage I am assuming that all functionality (calendar as well as email) will end when MS pulls the plug on 25 July. Quite why they can't offer an app-password solution I don't know - well, I can guess that its down to money - if they can get me to upgrade, they will be laughing - but they won't!

Does anyone know of a way to share calendars (in an editable fashion) between O-2010 and iPhones? The Gmail calendar seems no use, as although I can view it in O-2010, I cannot edit it.

I am nearly reconciled to having to use the Google calendar, and do all my editing (when on PC) via a browser - I have confirmed that the phone can edit the google calendar - another plus for Google, whatever their faults. Maybe I will just have to become more proficient in use of the phone (I hate the tiny keypad).

Any advice would be welcome - Martin (I think this is my first ever question here).
