    Can't access gmail from outlook 2019

    I've been attempting to create a profile for Outlook 2019 to access my gmail account. I can't get Outlook to work with gmail. If anyone knows how, please let me know, otherwise;
    I attempted to install the googleappsyncsetup (GWSMO). The install ends with a meaningless error telling me there was a problem installing chrome. I wasn't installing chrome. In the event viewer I found the install attempt gets an Event ID 10016 DCOM.
    Going off on a tangent, I attempted to install chrome, and got another meaningless error, and again the event viewer shows a 10016 DCOM error. I attempted to install chrome via the offline chrome installed, and got the same results.
    What is the problem with google applications? I have no problem searching with google.com.
    I searched for how to fix this DCOM problem, as I never encountered this before and I know nothing about DCOM. The alleged solutions appear very complicated and risky. There's also a suggestion to buy Restoro, which sounds like an elf from "Enchantment". It claims to be a cure all, but that sounds more risky and expensive than mucking about with the registry and DCOM. I've wasted money before on snake oil for Windows.

    • How can I get outlook to access my gmail?
    • Why is it that Chrome and GoogleAppSyncSetup, both by Google, generate DCOM error event 10016?

    I am using Win 10 Pro x64 with current updates.

    Not exactly clear on what you want, but for a simple add Gmail account to Outlook... Microsoft - Add a Gmail account to Outlook.

    And yes, it works as I have my Gmail account included in my Office 365 Outlook app on both desktop and android app. If you're looking to go beyond that, I've got no answers.
