    Hi,

They will coexist with no problems, but you may run in some file association discrepancies. Nothing that would prevent openning a document.

Just installed office 365 and have a few questions

Wish I was that lucky. with MS 365 word open and I try to open a doc it tries to open with 2010? I'm just going to remove 2010 and be done!

Might be able to just re-associate .doc files with MS 365, instead of 2010.

Removed it and all OK now. Next question:
Since it looks like documents are saved to onedrive, is there a way to sync one drive with folders on PC. Currently have OD setup as D:/onedrive ?

I'll let @Try3 answer that. I don't use office or one drive.

    Sorry, I don't use OneDrive.

This is, I believe, the most relevant tutorial for your stated need
Turn On or Off OneDrive Files On-Demand - TenForumsTutorials
There is a list of Related Tutorials at the end of it.

If you look at the top of any TenForums page, you'll see a link to the tutorials index. There are umpteen OneDrive tutorials.

    Best of luck,

Is Windows setup to sync system folders (documents, videos etc) to onedrive?

With office you can setup where to save files by default.

Not clear if you are asking to save to a non onedrive folder and have that sync to onedrive as well. That is easily done (there is a tutorial to do that).

I changed from POP to IMAP, but 2 things changed even though it still uses the same .pst file in same location.
1 .pst file is same size as before with POP3 settings, but lost messages dated before the change to IMAP. Does MS 365 store them differently? Maybe I can do an import? even restored the backup before changing to IMAP.

2- changed my account from john.doe@xx.com to john.doe@xx.com(1) which I can't find out how to correct name, but can live with it.

Well, I got brave and imported the .PST data file and all looks OK now. That said MS 365 must store the files differently. Also , I did export and MS365 creates a .PST file as backup. So... any automated way to have MS365 backup done daily?
