How to turn On MS Office Update Solution

I'm a big believer in the phrase " If it aint broke don't fix it " and I've successfully carried this policy out on every computer until I had run into a problem that actually needed a fix. So I've always turned off MS Office and Windows updates when it was installed. But there was a difficulty turning them back on later on if needed. The simple solution I found was to create a new user account on the computer and log in. Then open MS Word, Excel, etc and it will prompt you as to whether you want to update. Simply answer yes and it will be global for all user accounts once again.

The flaw in your argument is security. Most updates are to patch identified security holes. Just because you have not be hacked is basically good luck. In simple terms, always keep up to date to minimise risks. MS do not push security updates just to annoy you!
