Office 2019 Pro Plus - How To Forget Signed In User Account Upon Exit

    Windows Version - 20H2

    ---------------------------------

    Hey everyone!

I've been working on a small project for work and have seem to hit a small roadblock and can't seem to get over it at the moment so I was wondering if I could get some advice to point me in the right direction (if it's possible) :)

At my work, we have ten computers using a local Windows account that logs in automatically upon startup. These computers are mainly used for doing presentations in classrooms, with some software already installed to make the process quicker for the faculty

One of the pieces of software included on these computers is Office 2019 Pro Plus so that faculty can present PowerPoint and Word documents for their lessons. The issue we're running into is that while the computers being used are with a default local account, Office 2019 is tied to a Microsoft account, which each teacher has their own account for, so sometimes when a teacher starts their class and goes to sign-into Office 2019, they/we find that the previous teacher's account is still signed in.

Now, we can always quickly sign-out the previous instructor from Office 2019, but to save a tiny bit of hassle, we were thinking that there would be a process where, once you close Office, the signed-in account would be forgotten.

I've checked the settings in Office, tried clearing the passwords stored in Windows Credential Manager, and taken a look on the Internet and can't seem to find anything that quite matches what I'm looking for or if it's possible

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

    Thanks!

The registry change suggested by Boby in the article below essentially eliminates the need to sign into the Office 2019 suite with a Microsoft account. Not sure if this could be a way around your problem.
