    Out! Damned 365!

I have an HP Envy 17 Windows 10 Home [ Version 20H2 (OS build 19042.1165)] which came back from battery repair without the Office 2013 desktop style I had on it when I left it for repair. It was "replaced" by the subscription version of Office 365 which keeps nagging me to install it. I've no use for it. I have been using Windows for thirty-nine years, since Windows 1, and for the tasks I use it for Office 2007 was completely sufficient. But this Windows 10 is so cluttered that I can't see how to completely remove 365 so that there is nothing left to conflict with the 2007 I'm going to put in its place. I am the sole user on this machine, and supposedly owner and Administrator. With apologies to those who may feel that subscription software is the future (not my future) Help. Please.

Sounds like the repairers did a wipe and clean install as part of the "fix" process. Not uncommon.

Always create an image before it leaves you (said with hindsight).

Also sounds like the new install was done with a MS account. I suspect your best step would be a (re)wipe and clean install, with no internet connection during the process (creates local account only, 365 offer can be easily deleted).

EDIT : If you're logged on with an MS account, you could try signing out then deleting 365.

    These might help
Uninstall Office from a PC - Office Support
Manually uninstall Office apps - OfficeSupport

    Best of luck,

    Welcome to TenForums.

It's really worth making time to browse through the Tutorial index - there's a shortcut to it at the top of every page.
    - At the foot of the Tutorial index is a shortcut to download it as a spreadsheet.
    - I download a new copy each month.
    - By downloading it as a spreadsheet I can benefit from Excel's excellent filtering capabilities when I search for topics of interest.
    - Tutorials are also listed by category at Tutorials - there's also a shortcut to that at the top of every page.
    - Both tutorial lists are searchable.
    - You can also search for TenForumsTutorials in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:tenforums.com/tutorials after your search term. For example,
    taskbar toolbars site:tenforums.com/tutorials

You can search TenForums using the search box in the top-right corner of all TenForums webpages or using Advanced Search - TenForums
    - You can also search TenForums threads in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:tenforums.com after your search term. For example,
Search for drivers by HardwareID site:tenforums.com
    - [This is what the search box in the top-right corner of TenForums webpages does automatically]

Thank you, *idgat and Try3 for your quick responses. I've tried making sure I was signed out from Microsoft Account and deleted 365. It seems to be gone, so I'll try loading Office 2007 from a disk I bought a few years ago and see what happens. I sincererly hope I won't have to do a complete reinstall of Windows 10, but if I must, I must. Thanks for the support.
