Keyboard shortcuts when using Microsoft Edge as a PDF viewer -

I like the way Microsoft Edge displays my e-edition newspaper -

However I cannot find any keyboard short cuts to scrollacross the page - right to left and viceversa.

Using the right/left arrows either tabs be back and forth between the function items at the top of the screen or changes the page I am reading - whereas the up/down arrows do move me up and down the page.

As I use this every day might there be a way I can easily scroll across the page - particularly when consequential on increasing the magnification only part of the two pages shows on screen?

Thank you for any simple suggestions.

Hi, if you were to click the middle scroll wheel on your mouse (assuming you have one) when hovering over a page, simply moving your mouse slightly should give scrolling in any direction and at variable speed.

Arrow keys also work, as do Pg Up, Pg Dn, Home and End.

    That is Strange

Very strange in one instance dalchina is correct, yet in another he is not.

I currently have that paper open twice in Edge - once the original opening - which in the interim has been inSLEEP mode - when I accessed it after waking it from sleep it works exactly as dalchina describes except the mouse scroll wheel can only go up and down (I think earlier game playing joystick thingies we had decades ago worked in any direction but not my mouse wheel scrollers)

However that was not the main issue.

So surprised was I to find the paper was in fact scrolling left and right - I opened it again & low and behold - the second opening does not scroll but just tabs through the functions as I previously described - so at least now I know how I can get it to scroll with the keyboard left right arrows - but seemingly some different mechanism/digital electronics was active when I first opened it

Thank you very much indeed dalchina!

I have tried very unsuccesfully to illustrate what happened - please ignore the poor editing with PAINT - I need a tutorial - but that is another story!

Looking at the two illustrations they both appear effectively the same - the one with the red circle was the one that I opened and then would only scroll along the functions on the top bar - the one with the incomplete text box and message is the one that I had re opened after the PC had been in sleep mode and to my amazement it worked exactly as dalchina said - apart from the scroll wheel on the Mouse - which does not move it sideways.

These are what in one place I know called "high class problems" in other words not realy important as solving them is not essential to live another day - so I am not looking for a solution necesarily but just reporting back - It is more significant that I read the paper than that I fiddle about with it - so far I have mostly fiddled about with it - I am going to make a cup of tea and have a read NOW - thank you!

    Thank you for your reply.

I think you may have misread what I said...

    a. CLICK the mouse middle button when hovering over your page.
    b. You should see an icon appear (round, . in middle, arrow top and bottom)
    c. Then move the mouse. The icon changes. The page display moves.

It seems you may be only scrolling without the click.

    I did misread

Yes thank you for the correction - of course you are RIGHT about CLICKING the scroll bar - I had forgotten about that - it does allow me to move the document right or left BUT ONLY - the one that has been in SLEEP mode - I just quickly tried it - I have both docs still open one scrolls right and left - that is the one that as explained I had put in Sleep mode - the other still does not BUT it does not matter a great deal, as I long windedly tried to explain!
