Word is an MS Office application that exists in all Versions & Editions of Office including, but not limited to,Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016 & MS Office 365.

You can use either of the suggested methods -

Your diagram [in the docx] shows nothing selected. You've got to select the www.tenforms.com or whatever then use either of the methods given to see/set the hyperlink target address [my method in post #2 or W10 tweaker's method in post #4].

What makes you think that your Word is "all different"?

I also tried following the info about uploading screen shots and files but that didn't work either because when I tried to post the screen shot it asked where to find it and I wasn't able to save it as a file as when it was on the screen in the doc I couldn't do anything unless I closed the screen shot.
This comment seems, to me, to indicate confusion about how to take a screenshot.
Ignore the one you put into a Word file earlier.
Make a new one then post it.
    - There are several methods including using the combination WinKey-PrntScrn [or possibly, if your keyboard has a key labelled Fn, Fn-WinKey-PrntScrn]. That will save it as a file automatically and, unless you have deliberately changed its destination, create it in C:\Users\%UserName%\Pictures\Screenshots {a folder that is created the first time you use that keyboard combination to take a screenshot}. You can paste that folder path straight into File explorer's Address bar to get there.

So I'll run a repair and see if that helps.
    Did you do this?

If that doesn't work I'll get my tame computer guy to come and take a look.
It's up to you but I'd suggest trying to solve it using this thread first. You'll both save money & learn useful techniques here.

I did try to take a completely new screen shot but I still couldn't post it in here. The only way to get the screen shot was to highlight the link and then click on the link option to show the link screen. But, that wouldn't let me save it in any way unless I closed that screen and went back to the doc.
So, very many thanks for all your suggestions and trying to help me but, as a not too well OAP, I'll just go back to copying the link again when I've put it into a doc and then pasting it into my browser. As for my tame computer guy he's a family friend and only charges me £10 sterling.
    Once again, many thanks.

Let's start with, search Snip & Sketch from the taskbar & open.

Click on the 3 dots in the upper right and select settings.

Select On, for the following options.

While your Word document is displayed, press the Print Screen key while holding the function key. This should launch Snip & Sketch and show the following buttons at the top of your screen.

Clicking the button on the left allows you to drag a cursor around your desired capture area. The entire screen will dim slightly and a small siting type icon will appear. This icon will change position by moving the mouse, relocate to the upper left corner of your desired capture area, left-click & hold, dragging to the lower right side of your desired capture area. Now, release the mouse button and a small notification window will open on the lower-right side of your screen.

As an alternative to capturing a customized area of the screen, clicking the button on the top-right of the window, will capture the full screen. After selecting the 'full screen' capture option, a small notification window will pop open on the lower right.

After completing one of the above capture procedures, click on the small notification window that appears on the lower-right of your screen, it only stays open for a short time, so click within a few seconds. Then click the small disk icon on the upper right to save your file to a desired location.

Navigate to your desired save location by clicking on the folders to the left and enter a file name. I like to use a date code of mm dd preceding the name so as the file is easier to locate at a future date.

I'm sorry but there aren't 3 dots in the upper right of the screen. And I can't find the settings even looking in the options. So I'll leave it for today as I have to log off now as I'm expecting a phone call. I'll come back again sometime tomorrow, but really I'd prefer to just leave it. Thank you.

Sure, whatever you're comfortable with is cool.

Please feel free to revisit the directions above anytime you like and ask any questions, if you should decide to explore any further.

You should not attempt to save anything to make the screenshot.

I urge you to use the screenshot methods suggested in this thread, particularly in the tutorial you were given a link to. These methods do work.
The simplest method is probably the one I described in post #11.
    - You'll know if WinKey-PrntScrn has worked because the screen will dim momentarily as the screenshot is taken.

    £10 is £10.
£10 is 10lbs of coconut rings.

I have to be careful with the PrntScrn key on my Notebooks, a couple use Fn + PrntScrn to toggle the Wireless adapter On and Off. I actually have gotten more comfortable with WinKey+Shift+S for the capturing and WinKey+V to show them to make a choice to post.

Thanks again. I'm going to leave it for now and come back to all your instructions later if I can't get my computer guy to sort it out.

    Hyperlinks in Word not working.

I just found this thread because the same issue was happening to me.

My document was originally saved in Rich Text Format (*.rtf)
Clicking on any hyperlinks would result in the error message: "Cannot open the specified file."

I resaved the document as a Word document (*.docx) and the hyperlinks work as normal.

    Hope this helps,
    AJ

I eventually solved it myself after some Googling. I highlight all the link address then click control+K and if the link shows in the address line at the bottom of the window it shows then just press OK and the link will turn blue.
