How change Print Orientation default to Portrait and how invert colors

Two questions of Snip & Sketch: Win10 Home build 19042

    1. How change the default printer Orientation from Landscape to Portrait

    2. Some times if I am printing something with a lot of black, I like to invert the colors. How do I do that?

    1) I doubt it is possible to change default orientation. Orientation is defined by printer driver.

    2) Reversing colour scheme would be printer driver dependent. If printer driver does not have such an option, a workaround is to print file to a pdf file first. Adibe Acrobat can pri t the file in reverse colours.

    cereberus,

    Thanks for the quick reply.

#1 I don't think you are right about the orientation.
If the printer controls it, why does S & S have an option of Landscape or Portrait on its Print page?

As proof, if I don't change S&S default it prints landscape.
If I then exit S&S and print on a simple test Notepad it prints Portrait which is my printer default.
The only way S&S prints landscape is if you leave the landscape default selected and the only way it prints portrait is if you change the default to Portrait on the S&S print page. I can't imagine Microsoft intended that there was no way to make Portrait the default?

Why don't you try it yourself and let me know.

#2 Inverting colors is also not contingent on printer driver.
My old Win7 has an optional PrintKey Pro software that has an option box for Invert Colors that overrides the printer driver which does not include that function and if I inadvertently leave the Invert function box checked my regular printer prints normal as long as I am not using PrintKey.
