Info on Installing Office 2019 Stand Alone

I am looking for detailed installation information for MS Office Home & Student 2019, text or video, that will preview the entire installation process.

What I am looking in this info for is:
    • Does the stand alone product install old-school, without the need to enter a Microsoft Account?
    • Is there a custom install option? Can you choose which components to install?
    • Can you choose the folder to install to?

I have looked at several sites and videos for installing 2019 and they all show people entering their Microsoft Account login and the installation going off without any options or prompts. Most of these are obviously 365, but some are specifically 2019 downloaded directly from Microsoft.

What I am interested in is the product sold on Amazon or Costco that you download and get a Key for ($125).
It is a one time license for 1 PC and does not update automatically like 365.

I have 2019 Home & Business (stand alone) and I had to enter my credentials.

I guess I have always been logged in with my Microsoft account when I have installed it, so I can't say for sure if that is required or not. By default, you cannot pick and choose which components to install, you have to install the whole thing, but I think there is a hack you can do to the install file to give you the choice. I also don't remember being able to pick the location to install to.

Once installed, when run for the first time, Office will tell you it is not activated and then give you the choice to activate by entering a product key.

    Good info. Thanks

Are the login credentials just to install it? Can you uncouple from the MS account after it is installed?
