Where are the executable files for Office 2010?

    Build 19041.804

I have Office 2010, and I also have WordPerfect X7, when I installed WP I'm sure I said to use it for the Office .docx and .xlsx files. Now I'd like to change that but I can't find the location of those files.

Start/Microsoft Office/right click Excel/more/Open file location takes me to the location of the shortcut, right click and open file location takes right back to the shortcut, right click select properties and the location is C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Microsoft Office, really nice circle.

I've never used Office or WP, in my life. But a quick google found this...

    Office 2010

    Windows 64-bit:
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\
    Windows 32-bit:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\

    Click-To-Run

    Windows 64-bit:
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 14\ClientX64\Root\Office14\
    Windows 32-bit:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office 14\ClientX86\Root\Office14\

You could use something like the following to search the OS for them [ or Explorer maybe ] . . .

     Everything - FREE

Everything [ FREE ] is an extremely quick search engine that locates files and folders by filename instantly. Unlike Windows search, it initially displays every file and folder for which the criteria of the search matches.

    About Everything:

    • Small installation file.
    • Clean and simple user interface.
    • Quick file indexing.
    • Quick searching.
    • Minimal resource usage.
    • Share files with others easily.
    • Real-time updating.

    I hope this helps!

    You've checked in both
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\
    and
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\
    ?

    I just looked at C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office 14 for my Office 2010 installation.

    It has 29 exe files, including Winword.exe, Excel.exe, Powerpnt.exe, Onenote.exe, and MSAccess.exe.

Got it, thanks! "Everything" didn't find excel.exe because it was all caps. One of the search functions that was selected, by default I assume, was Match Case.
