Outlook 365 & outlook 2019 putting deleted messages back in Inbox

I have 2 accounts setup in Outlook. 1 outlook.com and 1 Imap. Both are repopulating their respective inboxes from messages that have been deleted and this is a constant loop.
I have removed Outlook 2019 and installed Outlook 365 and the problem still exists.
    I am running Windows 10 2004.

    Any help would be appreciated.

PS This behaviour only started about 3 days ago.

Did you uninstall Outlook 2019 and then did you do a cold start?
If you did that then you might want to check you email rules to ensure that there isn’t a misbehaving rule.

Yes I uninstalled Outlook 2019, no joy.
May have found the answer by setting up a completely new profile. I'm testing now , will let you know how it goes.

    Thanks for your suggestion though.

HI, Running Outlook 365 here (desktop app). I'm also running 3 email accounts using IMAP, and one using Microsoft Exchange. Anyway, I'm not exactly clear on your situation. Can you clarify?

You say, your emails deleted and then showing back up in your inbox?

Also what do you mean by "1 outlook.com and 1 Imap". Outlook.com is an email website, and IMAP is an email service protocol. Neither is an "email account". An example of an email account would be something like "example@outlook.com" and would be setup using IMAP as the server protocol.

    Sygnus:-

Thanks for your reply. The accounts are xxx@outlook.com and xxx@myisp.com (Imap).

I think I have solved the problem by creating a new profile and by using Webmail deleting the offending messages at Outlook.com & Myisp.co.uk.

    Thanks for you help
