    Restoring Office 2016 without re-buying?


    My now-dead PC had Office 2016, and I still have the serial key. But it was a download, and the install files are on the dead PC. How can I get a fresh copy without having to pay for it a second time?

    Even if you download a new ISO you will probably have to ring Microsoft to Activate it. There is usually a 'Microsoft Office Activation' line (toll free) telephone number for your country which will put you through to a real Microsoft person to discuss your issue with. They have the power to Activate it.

    Yes....if you're referring to the OS key and no to the Office key. As long as OP has the office key, OP can easily install it with no issues.

    Shouldnt need to ring, I installed office, then decided to reinstall Windows, and installed it again, no phone call needed.

Thinking about it, I did a google and saw that the 2013 was available from several sources at varying prices. Nearly all the stores bore unfamiliar names. How can I be sure that all the offerings are genuine before paying up? I can't see how!
