    Microsoft 365 Outlook ignores my Date & Time format settings

    I live in Switzerland but prefer an English-language UI as:
    • it is my mother tongue
    • it makes it easier to get support

    However, I prefer to use the local (de-ch) conventions for date, time, currency etc. and have configured the WIndows Regional Settings accordingly
    Unfortunately Outlook still insists on using British (en-uk) conventions for columns like "Received". I am aware that I can change the date format in the "View" settings, but there I have to choose between date and time, whereas the default "Best fit" displays both. How can I get Outlook to respect my Regional Settings?

    There would be two places to check settings. I'm using Slovenian instead of your local time and date settings, and have EN-US as system language

    First is in Settings / Time and Language / Region - select DE-CH for your region and format, and check under Language, if your settings are the same as mine

    In Office 365 Outlook. In View / View settings, I can select any combination of date and Time for View. But depends on selected Reading pane if it can be displayed.

    @AndreTen,
    Thanks for the reminder to look at Windows Settings instead of blaming Office. It turns out that the settings I had carefully configured in Control Panel (which offers more control than the new Settings app) had somehow been overwritten, which caused problems in other applications as well as Outlook. After redoing the settings in Control Panel, things look much better!
