How To Sort Microsoft Excel Cells Alphanumerically?

    Hello all,

Long time no see. Been gone for a while, but now I need some help 😩

Let's say that I have an Excel table:

    Name
    Marge
    Maggie
    Lisa
    Homer
    Bart

How can I sort the column so that it results in:

    Name
    Bart
    Homer
    Lisa
    Maggie
    Marge

I've found some tutorials elsewhere, but it doesn't explain how to keep Name at the top.

The easy quick way is to highlight all the names and click the "Sort & Filter" button and sort A-Z

You can also just click the first name in the column and use the sort feature as well.

BTW, you can also freeze the title cells so that scrolling up & down won't hide the title cells. To freeze a cell(s) go to the "View" tab, highlight the row(s) you want to freeze and click "Freeze Panes"....

Hope this help in setting up your sheet. Let us know.
