Office 2013 problems with excel 2013

Hi i am using excel 2013 and have a spreadsheet with two works sheets and a couple of days ago i thought i had hidden quite a few rows at the top of the sheet.
But today i loaded it back up and i am not able to unhide them so i might have deleted them?

But what is puzzeling me is on the second sheet there are refrences to cells on the first sheet and that information is still there on the second sheet including the cell number even with the correct data showing even though i am not able to see the cell.

Because of this i think the rows are still there i just carnt see them, because if i had deleted them the data would be gone is that right

I know i can open a previous version but i then loose all the data i have put in since is there anything i can do

I am running windows 10 version 2004

I think i have hidden all the rows to the top and i am now unable to select the row above the hidden ones and the one below to unhide

Try the following -

Download the free tool ShadowCopyView from Nirsoft.

http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shadow_copy_view.html

Look for a shadow copy that hopefully was made before the spreadsheet was possibly corrupted.

Highlight it, and select Go to Root Directory in the File menu on the toolbar.

In the lower pane, navigate to that folder, and see if the spreadsheet is there.

If so, select the spreadsheet, right click, and select Copy Selected Files To.

Select a destination, and click the Do It button.

I have also seen Word and Excel docs fixed by opening them in LibreOffice, or OpenOffice.

I would make a copy first.

Sam,

I think you might well not have lost them but are merely having trouble unhiding them. Do your row numbers indicate that they are still there, as in this demo?

To unhide them,
select the whole of column A by clicking in its column header {e.g. by clicking on the letter A itself},
then use Format, Row height / AutoFit row height,
and the hidden rows will re-appear.

Hi guys thank for the advice i have been trying to sort this out all day

And looking at what Try3 surgested my rowsa started at 360 with nothing above the 360 so i clicked on the square the the left of the first coloum and above rows 360 i then got the option of undelete

And wow now all is back to normal
