General 2016 Outlook question....Task manager "My Tasks"
TenForums brain trust-
So happy to have found this forum as I have had all these "little" questions about Outlook 2016 that are driving me nuts so hopefully you all can help me out. Here's the first one.......
When looking at my Tasks (see attached pic), in the upper left hand corner it says "My Tasks" and when I hit the little triangle to the left of it, it expands into "To-Do List," "Tasks - Outlook Data File," and then, "Tasks - one of my email accounts," and "Tasks - one of my other email accounts." These two email accounts are two of the four accounts that the email portion of Outlook 2016 uses.
Those extra two, "Tasks - email accounts" never existed before and recently just popped up in that list under "My Tasks." I don't want them there because I like all my Tasks listed under the "Tasks, Outlook Data File" list only. For some reason, when I make a new Task by hitting the "New Task" button on the ribbon, sometimes the Tasks appear in one of those two email accounts (don't understand this either) and then I lose track of those tasks because I'm only using Outlook Data File Tasks.
So how can I delete these two email accounts from my "My Tasks" list? Further, what determines what "My Tasks" category a newly created Task goes into?
Thanks for your time!!!
