Multiple copies of new Email opening

Win ver 2004 OOS Build 19041.572

    Hi
Just installed Win 10 pro on new laptop, installed Microsoft Office 2016 and noticed if I open an email link on a website, it opens Outlook and creates new email as it should do. However, it then proceeds in quick succession to produce multiple instance of same email and only way to stop to stop it is to turn off laptop!

Thinking it might be Office 2016, not having seen this before on Office 2007, I installed that, I didn't like Office 2016 anyway!
    Same thing happens.

    Any ideas?

    Strange indeed!
And I was actually thinking about replacing my Office 2007 with 2016.
But now I won't ... unless someone comes in here with a solution for your problem.

Of course it might be nothing to do with Office 2016, also I didn't like the appearence of 2016 and too many gimmicks!

You can check if it is related to outlook 2016 by using another email application such as Thunderbird I used to use it myself until I got an always on Internet connection and now use gmail's web based client to handle multiple addresses, (not all gmail addresses, using the built in functions)

I've used Outlook in the, past personally, and as the as administrator for business on a network with exchange and never seen the issue you report, so it's unlikely to be a common one.

    Hi Nigel
Tried that, still the same as it was with outlook 2007. If I write the email address in new email it works, its only when I click on embedded link it falls over!
