Outlook 365 Folder Pane Keeps Resizing

I have recently started having problems with the Outlook 365 folder pane resizing itself.
Has anyone else found this? Is there a way to stop it?

I am not sure as to what version this started happening. Maybe the version I am currently on now, which is 16.0.13231.20250 (64-bit).

Yes, noticed it started to happen a few days ago. Same version as you.

Also for quite a while when I launch Outlook 365, it will come up with a prompt along the lines of something was not closed properly last time, do I want to open it again Yes/No. Irritating but not a real problem.

    @Sam Vimes
    Thanks for the reply, Sam.

At least I know it's not just me.

I think I found the solution. I guess the following setting must be for a tablet.

File » Options » Mail » Reading Pane.
Remove the tick from: "Turn on automatic full-screen reading in portrait orientation".

It has been at least a couple of days now and it hasn't resized, so I think that is the fix.

Please let me know if it works for you, and if it does, I'll mark the thread "Solved".

Day two and its still ok. I suggest one more day before marking it solved.

BTW: Are you seeing any problem when opening Outlook that it thinks it didn't close properly last time. I get this message sometimes and it's not true.

I'm afraid the problem of the Folder Pane is back again for me.

I'm afraid the problem of the Folder Pane is back again for me.
After a reboot, my folder pane resized too.
But it only does it once.

Regarding the message you are getting. No, I haven't seen it before.
But I found info about it here and here.
