Old copy Office 2007 vlk and selective install

Hi, I had to reinstall Win10 with new mb. Now trying to re-install my old copy of Office 2007 (pretty sure it was from my very old former jobsite with vlk) and I want to selectively only install Word and Excel.
But when I click setup.exe, it does not give the option for custom install, and loads the entire Office suite. No option to pick and choose.
Last time, years ago, I hit a key combo that let me do a selective install of only what I needed, but can't remember or find a reference.
    Thx in advance

Office 2007 is not entirely compatible with 10. Plus which docs created in the latest office will not always open trouble free in 2007

That is quite apart from whether or not the VLK = volume licensing key should be in use on your computer

I suggest of you do not want to buy Office in whatever form and do nmot want to use a free alternative to Microsoft Office then you try this
Office 365 Login | Microsoft Office
It is free and works very well

You are right. It ought to ask for the Product key and then give you the option of normal/typical installation or only some of the bits. I do not know anything about volume licensing but I'd be surprised if that made any difference to the installation procedure.

But all is not lost. Just go to
    [Start menu, Windows system,]
    Control panel,
[View by - Small/Large icons, just so you can see everything]
    Programs and features,
    Microsoft Office ... 2007,
    right-click,
    Change,
    Add or remove features.
Then it will bring up the options that you were expecting to see during installation.

In the Office tools section, you'll find Microsoft Office Picture Manager. This is an excellent tool for cropping screenshots / snips to include just what you actually wanted & no more [such as, say, before posting here] and for converting to other image formats. I wouldn't be without it.

Office 2007 works perfectly well in Windows 10.

Thanks I might try that, but my previous install of Win10 and Word/Excel 2007 worked ok for me. I just want to try to get the selective setup to just install Word and Excel, and not all the other stuff like Access, Powerpoint, etc.
I did it before and just can't remember what key combo I used when setup started.....

PS this was response to MacBoatmaster, thx

Denis, it does not ask for the product key with this old corporate version. So you are suggesting let the whole suite install, then try to remove selected items with control panel?
I can try that, but I know there was a way to bring up that installation option menu -before- it all started, just can't remember how I did it.....!!!

As I said, I do not know about volume licensing. But from what you've written, letting the whole lot install and then removing parts seems to be the only way to get what you want unless you remember that key combo [Shift-F10?].

The only remaining MS installation instructions just tell you to 'follow the prompts' so that's no help.

Thx Denis, I was unable to remember the correct key-combo, so I let the whole package install, and was able to uninstall all the unnecessary items with your method. Thx for pointing that out!
