Outlook - display name of receiver

Outlook displays only the last name of the receiver (Sent To), whereas the address book entry within Outlook, of that receiver, is 'compleet', i.e. all name fields are with first name, last name.

    How come?
Or better, how to correct this?

    Thanks!

Just for clarification, outlook the program or outlook.com (browser) or outlook the app.

If Outlook the program check how you have the person set to display. My outlook, the program, does not do what yours is doing.

I use Outlook with Outlook.com as one provider and another non-standard supplier (not Yahoo, Gmail, AOL, etc)

    Thanks for the reply.

Sorry, I forgot to mention, it is Outlook 365 (the program)

Whilst writing this reply and went on checking and probably found the issue
(and so I could delete my initial reply...)

In short: It is the mailbox of my wife, she uses gmail.
-When I send her a mail using Outlook, then her full name is displayed, my wife's first name, last name, i.e. correct.
(both in her mailbox and in my sent items - the Contacts details within Outlook 365 are correct)

-When a friend of hers, also using gmail, is sending her a mail, my wife's first name and last name is displayed, correct.

-However, when I send her a mail, whilst using gmail, which I occasionally use as a backup only, then only her last name is displayed.

So, probably it is something within my gmail settings, nothing to do with Outlook.

    Thanks again.

    Interesting.

Yes please look up your wife in gmail contacts.

Actually start an email and see how it addresses.

Then send one. If it is correct then Outlook is altering.

Also check as you start to address email in either system what the system has cached away (remembered) for your wife.

Maybe clearing cached addresses would clear.
