    2nd Installation of Outlook 2019 & Office 2019.

I purchased Outlook 2019 & Office 2019 (Word/Powerpoint/Excel). I have authentic 1-off installation keys for both and installed both on my Win 10 installation. I may well be forced to do a clean re-install of Win 10; wiping all the apps and files in the process. What is likely to happen when I come to install these packages for a second time? Are the keys likely to be rejected as already installed, and if so what are the steps to recover?

Have you added them to your MS account? If so you should not have any problems doing a reinstall after a fresh install of Win 10.

I'm not consciously aware of doing that, other than activating the key when I installed it. How would I check?

No doubt to install you needed to go to MS site (Office.com, should be on little card with key code), log in and download.

You would go there again once your clean install is ready for Office. There should be a download link.

Just sign in and poke around. Pretty sure they use to show what machines it is installed on. That seems to have changed for Office 365 and there is a link to "My Account". In services and subscription box you can drill down to see machines installed on.

No. I bought the products online from a reputable software retailer. I got a disk image download and a product activation key, both of which I used at install. I then activated both products and they update OK and show on the application as activated on my account (Msoft Email sign-in, see below). However, nowhere on my account online can I find any mention of either product. My concern is that if I use the disk image and key again that I then run into problems.

Then you should see the download and install links and even the Key listed on your MS account once you uninstall it from you current system... I would open up outlook or word and click on your picture at the top of the program and sign-out of office before you uninstall it...

OK, you're saying that before doing a re-install of Win 10 I should uninstall the office products from my existing image.

Yes, but also sign-out of office on your computer first, then uninstall the programs, then do your fresh install and then go back to your MS account and you should find the links to download and reinstall and your current keys should also be there....

The only products that will show up on your Microsoft account are subscriptions - ex: Office 365. So for example: I've got Office 365 which shows up under my Microsoft Account under subscriptions. However I've also got both Project 2019 and Visio 2019, but since these two apps are NOT subscription based apps, they are not showing anyway in my Microsoft Account.

Additionally, since you basically have two different Office products - Office Home and Student, the non student version of Outlook 2019, they will show up as two different installs as shown. For my Office apps I have 3 installs - Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Note, Access), Project 2019, and Visio 2019.

As for reactivation of Office & Outlook 2019, I highly suggest you uninstall the apps prior to reinstalling the OS to avoid any activation issues once you reinstall the apps. You will also need your PID keys you used to activate in the first place.

    Hope this helps.

This is what shows up on my MS account:

Been a while since I added my copy of Office 2019 but I believe I got it registered with MS on my account with this link.
