Do you have to use the Export/Import vs just copy?

    I'm going from Outlook 2007 on a Win7 to Outlook 2016 on a new Win10.

I've never needed to do this since I use the IMAP server option to synchronise emails across all devices.

As I understand it, when you uninstall Outlook 2007 and install Outlook 2016, 2016 will recognize the .pst, as long as you leave it in the same location.

I would back up the .pst as well.

Thanks guys but to clarify I'm going from a old Win7 with Office 2007 to a new Win10 with a Office 2016 already installed.
I just need a yes or no answer:

Can I Copy my .pst file from the Win7 to the same location in the Win10 without using the Export/Import function?

Yes, I did that in moving from Win 7 on 1 PC to Win 10 on another.
