Sync Outlook to another PC

I was thinking about that method.
In my Godaddy free email account I have 74 email aliases at the present time. That may change over time.
So I guess i go into my aliases on Godaddy and instead of forwarding them to my main email on Godaddy I forward them to my Gmail account? and then change my outlook settings to Gmail? Would I still use my SMTP server at Godaddy?

I've no idea how you would do the aliases mine are all done in in google gsuite, forwarding should do it and the SMTP you can setup your mail client to use your current one or you could set gmail to use your email as sender and use theirs.

The only issue I can think of with this sort of setup is the time it takes/frequence of gmail to check your old mailbox, this could lead to a delay in receiving mail - I've not tried this in many years so I just don't know.

I did try to add one of my gmail accounts to Outlook and it could not create it.
I checked the server settings

Incoming email
Server: imap.gmail.com Port: 993

Outgoing email
Server: smtp.xxxxxxx.net Port 445

I set the outbound to my present smtp server on Godaddy

I even let it set the default to smtp.gmail.com

Using either one, I couldn't create a new Outlook account.

What now?

You shouldn't need to input any settings with outlook (you can change them later) at the add account screen just add your gmail name and address and outlook does the rest.

I got an error: Could not create an Outlook data file. Bla Bla...

That's... different (stupid). I guess if you use places like Go-Daddy, well every nickel counts....

I've a website hosted by Bluehost and the email I created for the site isn't being charged because I use IMAP. My Current internet provider (Cox cable), doesn't charge to use IMAP. In fact, I've never been charged for using IMAP.

This is what I did...

I added my gmail accout to outlook. I selected to set-up manually. Instead of selecting gmail, i selected IMAP. Added to outlook ok.
I then went to my Godaddy email account and edited 74 aliases to forward to my gmail address. That took awhile as I had to do one at a time. I sent a message to a couple of those aliases. Never got to Outlook.
I looked in the folder where my outlook.pst is and found 13 gmail data files with an .ost extension.

Any idea what to do next?

Yesterday, I was checking C:\users/msn\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst and found that there was no AppData folder on my PC. Lookout says it'st there, but I can't find it.
What happened?

I had an idea that somehow that those folders were hidden. I went into advanced settings for files and folders, and they were set to not show hidden folders. I changed the settings and now I can view them. I don't know what changed them as I was able to see them before.

Before you migrate to IMAP, you should know that IMAP does not support TO DO lists, calendars, contact lists (unless I am all wrong here. ) Someone please tell that I am wrong.
