Can´t edit OneDrive Excel sheet in Desktop App, get Feature disabled

I have a Excel file in my OneDrive. When I chose to edit in the Desktop App, Excel opens, but then I get the message "This feature has been disabled by your administrator".
    I am the administrator.
I believe this is some registry policy that is messed up.
Could anyone help me with this?
I have Windows 10 Pro and Office 2016.

    Thank you!

Thank you. Yes, I tried this one but could not even find these regs they mention. So I assume it is not in there, where the issue resides

Maybe you can't edit a OneDrive file from a desktop app whilst it is still residing in OneDrive? Have you tried downloading the Excel file to your PC first before trying to open it there?

I've heard from other folks that editing directly on OneDrive is pretty much prohibited, works if first copying back to the internal drive. There may be a warning about editing because the file came from a different computer. A lot of things one can do with files on External drives [attached to the computer] can't be done in OneDrive.

I can. For my other computer it works fine. This one is a different Windows and Office account and I get this error, unfortunately.

You write: "This one is a different Windows and Office account".

If I understand you correctly you created the file using one Office account and are trying to edit it from another Office account. If this is the case I thought only the Office account that created the file can have permission to edit it, and if you use a different Office account then you will be denied permission to edit it.

Maybe I have misunderstood but it seems as if OneDrive is behaving as it should?

Maybe Unlink the account? The picture credit is due to Computer Active magazine: -
