    During the installation, you can opt for it to be the default programs for Word, Excel, etc

    Once installed, you can change the default permanent Save As .. options for text documents > .doc/.docx and spreadsheets > .xls/.xlsx

    If you're going to use the database (Base) you'll need to install Java by Oracle (free download) from java.com
