    Office (Outlook) 2019 what is this COM thing


    Hi folks
    this COM panel seems to have appeared in the latest set of updates for Office and Outlook 2019

    Any idea what it is and what it's supposed to do.

    COM add-ins are to extend functionality of Office products. I've only used them for Excel to access ODBC databases.

    See Excel COM add-ins and Automation add-ins or Get an Office Add-in for Outlook

    Google translate seems to say it has disabled some slow add-ins but you can click on it to manage them.
