    Default mail client warning

I keep getting the warning below, although I have Outlook as the default mail client. How can I stop getting this warning.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Could you clarify the context- what prompts this? E.g. clicking on a eml file, on an email link, or is apparently at random?

I have screen OCR'd the text for you so it is now something you and responders can search for:

Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client.

Thank you all for your help. I have followed the advice of changing the Register and it appears to have done the trick.

I also have this problem. Tried all three solutions. Tried the regedit solution, I don't see any subkey. Any ideas?

I am using the latest Outlook (part of my institution office365 subscription) on Win 10 Enterprise N
