The operation cannot be performed because the message has been changed

I again and again have the infuriating experience that I start composing an email and when I finally hit the send button then I get the subject error message.

Of course it has been changed! I just wrote it! What is this darn BS message supposed to tell me? What freaking bug is causing this? What can't I send off my newly written email?

I then always need to create another new email, copy address, subject and content of the screwed up email over and only then I can send it off? This so darn infuriating! What is causing this?

Its one of those Outlook bugs that sits there since years if not decades. Why does this never get fixed?

I used to leave my newly written contact email in the draft folder for a while, before sending it. I quit using Outlook for that reason.

I've been using Outlook for over 30 years (15 in the military) 15+ in civilian and home (currently using Outlook 365 desktop app) and haven't had the issue the OP is seeing.

I can compose and change my emails without issue. I can save them in a draft and come back to them later and send without issue.

Anyway while the OP is complaining about "Outlook bugs that sits there since years if not decades" I've seen not one mention of version.

Not really. From what I understand this refers to meetings and meeting descriptions (updates) that contain Skype invitations. But - while I do have Skype installed and am also using it - this often comes up completely unrelated, i.e. when just writing a new email - nothing Skype or meeting related.
