I am trying to split one cell horizontally in a word table, but when I do, all the other cells in the row double in height. How do I add an extra row in one cell without altering the overall height?
Thank you

There is a very useful forum for Microsoft Office at:
Microsoft Office Forums - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project
There is a thread for Word. They may be better able to advise you.
Have you tried reducing the font size for the cell you want to split. I know it will look different to the other cells but it may be a necessary trade-off?
