We're thinking the same and you've helped me improve the situation..

The problem is that every time the calendar loads, the check mark is missing. And then after I add it to the circle it takes 5-6 seconds for the appointments to appear. In other words the diary part looks as per the image in my original post.

Insert the checkmark and then go into Calendar settings.

Go into Settings (on Outlook account) and go to Calendar. Check everything appears okay.

There is no specific setting for which calendar to show. I would change something something like 30 minute increments to 15 minutes. Save changes.

My hope here is that this will resave all settings.

You are not running any special privacy tools ( or cleaners, optimizers, registry whatevers) correct?

    Done and the challenge remains.

    Correct.

I have the calendar synced with my iphone one.

If I disconnected wi-fi on my phone, deleted my calendar on outlook and created a new one and then reconnected wi-fi on my phone to reload appointments on Outlook, would that work?

    I can't say.

I don't think the phone is setting which calendar to view on your PC. Further I think it should be set to always default to opening your calendar.

These types of issues will drive you crazy. The engineers are not likely to look into why this is happening when only one or even a handful of users are experiencing.

Does this happen on other computers?

If it happens on other computers then it is related to account.

while signed into your account open a new tab and go to

    account.microsoft.com

Check settings there, in particular Privacy.

I went into account.microsoft.com when signed into and with the calendar loaded in another tab. Clicking on privacy resulted in the page of which you'll see part in the image and I cleared the different histories and actions.

If you place the check mark beside the word calendar, then click on the three dots to the right and change the Calendar colour.

Exit come back in a see if check mark sticks, change colour back to what you want.

I hoping my changing something within the calendar it saves the check mark as part of its new colour properties.
